The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, take possession tomorrow as chairman of the Commonwealth of Espuña Tourism Services, an organization comprising the towns of Totana, Aledo, Mula, and Pliego Alhama, whose office will take until the end of this legislature.
The event, which will be attended by the mayors and councilors of the municipalities Tourism members, will take place in the plenary hall of the City of Totana.
Martínez Andreo take the baton from the outgoing president, the mayor of Pliego, Isabel Toledo Gomez, who has assumed the rotating presidency of this organization for the past nine months.
The Commonwealth, which was established in 2002, is chaired by the mayors of municipalities for a period of about nine months and was born from a number of concerns about tourism development in the District in which they insert municipalities and which is central to the Regional Park of Sierra Espuña.
Among the objectives of the Commonwealth include the joint efforts and economic possibilities of the five boroughs that make up related to the provision of certain travel services in the area of Sierra Espuña and its zone of influence, mainly those related to the Promotion of the Image Tourism and Natural Resources in this field.
