The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed, in collaboration with the Local Police of Alhama de Murcia, the operation 'POMBAS', which has resulted in the arrest of a neighbor of Totana who ran a greenhouse of marijuana and to which He has seized a large quantity of cocaine, cash, weapons and ammunition.
The operation began last Tuesday, April 3, when members of the Local Police of Alhama de Murcia, in a surveillance established to prevent thefts in country houses, detected the presence of a vehicle that generated certain suspicions.
Upon identifying the occupants and inspecting the vehicle, they found one of them a large quantity of cocaine and cash, so they detained him and seized the drug, money and vehicle.
Agents of prevention of citizen security of the Benemérita took charge of the investigation and continued with the actions to clarify the facts.
The first investigations carried out by the Civil Guard allowed to determine that the arrested person, with a history of similar crimes, could be linked to more criminal acts, including the cultivation of marijuana.
Once all the necessary evidence had been obtained and prior judicial authorization, the entry and registration was made in a country house rented by the prisoner in which he found an indoor-type marijuana greenhouse, with 82 floors, and all the necessary objects to The cultivation and treatment of cannabis sativa lighting, heat, irrigation and ventilation devices.
It also seized large amounts of cocaine, cutting substance and tools for handling, documentation related to drug trafficking, a machete, a carbine of compressed air and a shotgun of the caliber 12 stolen.
In addition, the existence of an illicit connection to electricity in the house was detected.
Due to these facts, the detainee is allegedly responsible for the crimes of drug trafficking, marijuana cultivation, illegal possession of weapons due to lack of weapons license, theft with force in housing and the defrauding of electricity.
The operation 'POMBAS', fruit of the fluid collaboration of the Civil Guard with the Local Police, is still open, so that new actions and arrests are not ruled out.
