The La Santa de Totana Foundation has organized, for the third year, a cycle of talks that in this edition is about "Wisdoms of the East and Christianity";
and that is celebrated during the next three Thursdays of April (12, 19 and 26 of this month) in the sanctuary of the Patroness, all of them starting at 8:30 p.m.
The mayor, Andrés García, the president of the La Santa Foundation and parish priest of Santiago, Francisco José Fernández, and the patron and professor of Philosophy, Juan Valero, have presented this new cycle of conferences, which this year will count, as a novelty, with Free bus service on activity days, departing from the town hall door (8:15 p.m.).
On this occasion, this program addresses the encounter of certain "wisdom" -for not being strictly conformed as Eastern religions- with Christianity.
The talks will be given by the doctor in Philosophy, specialized in yoga, Hinduism and Buddhism, Vicente Merlo Lillo, under the title "Wisdom, love and compassion: a meditation" (April 12);
PhD in Philosophy, Ana María Schlüter Rodés, "Zen and Christian faith" (April 19);
and the Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​David Jou Mirabent, "Quantum physics as a framework of spiritual dialogue between the West and the East".
In this regard, the president of the Foundation the Saint and parish priest of Santiago explained that this cycle guides the initiative of Benedict XVI to build bridges that serve as a dialogue between believers and non-believers, also between believers with different religious confessions within the framework of the complex Contemporary contemporary world.
