The Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, recently offered an institutional reception, in the plenary hall of the City Council, to a total of 50 students of 2nd of the ESO of the School "La Milagrosa" of Totana, who presented the Learning project #Juvenocio 3.0
The students, accompanied by their teachers, have informed the mayor of this pedagogical initiative that is within the framework of the vertical project #Eureka, which has promoted during the past month of March the educational community of this school arranged in Totana.
The project consists of a plan of analysis and proposals of youth leisure activities in Totana, with which it was intended to encourage and encourage a leisure based on cultural and sports proposals that help to prevent teen fall in vices, insane behavior;
and that respond to the concerns of citizens of these ages.
During a period of three weeks of the previous quarter, students have worked together on the topic of youth leisure in the town of Totana and has investigated and analyzed leisure in today's youth.
Through the surveys that they have done to their classmates of the different courses, from 6th grade of Primary Education to 4th of ESO, and the subsequent analysis of them, they have obtained leisure proposals.
These include the request for more green areas and parks with outdoor gyms;
and youth activities, such as holi run, thematic courses on crafts, photography, graffiti;
new sports facilities, such as light discos, karaoke, lounges for children with foosball and billiards, ice rink and skating, hiking routes adapted to their age, among others.
In addition, they advocate the implementation of a shopping center, mattress park, bowling, facilities or go-kart circuits, youth clubs, dance competitions, art, music, cooking workshops, robotics, music, bike lanes, among others. .
As for the spaces, students have observed that there are areas in Totana that could be used to carry out activities or build new facilities for youth leisure, such as: the area of ​​the Scale, the surroundings of Sierra Espuña and La Santa, unbuilt areas in the Tirol neighborhood and better communications with the Sports City.
The Councilor for Youth has congratulated both the students and the teachers for the meticulous work they have done and thanked them for their presentation. She also conveyed to them that many of the proposals are feasible and that they will be included in the Youth Promotion Plan that will be prepared soon from your department.
