The commander of the Sierra Espuña Air Squadron number 13, Juan Carlos Giz Paz, accompanied by the mayor of Totana, Andrés García, recently made a visit to the Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities "José Moyá" in order to thank the Partition of the Center in the accomplishment of the trophies that were delivered in the III Dragon Trail Challenge 2017 "Memorial Second Lieutenant Juan Carlos Pérez Calleja".
For this event held in October 2017, with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of Totana and Alhama and the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, the Day Center "José Moyá", made 89 trophies, made with totally indigenous material , as was the case of Sierra Espuña wood, ceded by the Forest Services of the area, in addition to other materials such as metals and paints.
The "José Moyá" Day Center reorganized its activities from January 2017, until June of this year, so that the different workshops, especially the carpentry workshop and the plastic arts workshop, could participate in the realization of These trophies, totally handmade.
During the visit, the commander Juan Carlos Giz has delivered to the Center a detail in the form of recognition and thanks to the work done by both users and professionals.
Before leaving both the commander Juan Carlos Giz and the Mayor of Totana, Andrés García Cánovas, have left a message of affection and gratitude in the Book of Signatures of the Center.
From the "José Moyá" Day Center we want to thank the entire Espuña Sierra Air Squad for the trust placed in us for the realization of these trophies and for this recognition they make to our center.
