The Carnival parades begin this coming weekend with the spectacle of the Totana clubs this Saturday (08/02/2018)

The Federation of Peñas of the Carnival of Totana, with the collaboration of the Department of Culture, celebrates this next weekend the first parades of Carnival totanero of 2018, with the spectacle of the rocks of Totana this Saturday, and the infant on Sunday.

Thus, on Saturday, February 10 will be, from 16:30 hours, the parade of Carnival with the rocks of Totana, with the route through the avenue of Lorca, Sun, Plaza de la Constitución, Puente, San Antonio , Juan XXIII, Juan de la Cierva Square, Ángel de Novelé, Alberto Gray Hairstyle and Rambla de la Santa.

The participating clubs are the Samba Group of Totana in its 35th anniversary, Sueños de Papel, Peña Olympo, Golfos, Gertrudis, Pistonazo, Chapas, Pinchos, Olé, Tiara, Alegría, Venecia, Esencia, Almíbar and Crazy Rollers.

That same day, at midnight, will be the concentration of clubs and Carnival with the group and individual costume contest, in the marquee of the auditorium "Marcos Ortiz".

The next day, on Sunday, February 11, starting at 11:30 am, the children's parade will take place, with the Infant and Primary schools;

which are Comarcal-Deitania, La Cruz, Santiago, Tierno Galván, San José, Santa Eulalia, Reina Sofia, La Milagrosa and Infant School "Clara Campoamor".

The itinerary of the children's parade will be along Lorca Avenue, Sol, Plaza de la Constitución, Puente, San Antonio, San Francisco de Asís and the fairgrounds;

organized by the AMPAS of the participating Pre-school and Primary schools.

That Sunday, activities aimed at children will continue, such as the Day Fair (1:00 pm), with a children's menu;

and Children's Party (5:00 pm), with animators and the magic of "El Mago de Oz", in the same Carnavalera Carp.

Concentration of Masks

On Tuesday, February 13, from 20:30 hours the traditional concentration of masks, in the Plaza de la Constitución, and later parades, from 21:00 hours, to the Plaza de la Maderera, passing through the San Cristóbal Street, traditional street of the Masks.

The itinerary will be from the Plaza de la Constitución, Puente, San Antonio, Ánimas, San Cristóbal, Santa Eulalia Avenue, Miguel Marín Square, Ramblica, Carrasco and Plaza de la Maderera;

where the assistants have to go in disguise and enjoy the music, snacks and sangria.
