"

One more step of those that have already been given since the beginning of the legislature, since this measure of relief for municipal coffers is propitiated by the economic plan implemented in the first stage of the legislature, more specifically, by the proposal that carried out in December 2016 the then Mayor, Juan Jose Cánovas, to request the grouping of debts by which we were held every month practically all of the State Taxes that correspond to us and whose amount amounted to 31,660,929 € .
All this as a result of the sum of three Payment Plans to Suppliers that the Popular Party took to pay the debts they generated during their government stage for not presenting a realistic, serious and responsible Settlement Plan.
"Given the serious situation we are facing in 2015 due to the great debt owed to banks and suppliers and to what we must add the deficit financing structure created by the PP, there were only three options: to continue the dynamics of the Popular Party, which was to continue to increase debt and spending the money of the aids without fulfilling the commitments acquired.To believe that miracles exist and in which they will come to rescue us, or in promises that never materialize and that also, today and with the current legislation would be or the road that from the first moment has defended and led Ganar Totana, the road of seriousness, responsibility and the fulfillment of the commitments. "
With the approval of the aforementioned proposal, we would be able to take the debt of the City Council to 10 years with 2 of deficiency and practically zero interest.
We will no longer be retained the 270,000 € per month currently deducted by the Ministry of taxes due to us because the PP took shelter without presenting a Adjustment Plan that obtained the approval in Madrid.
In two years, we estimate that it will amount to 6,000,000 € of "savings" and that in our opinion can not go to current expenditure, but to palliate debt.
Let's not forget that this measure was only possible because the City has an Adjustment Plan approved by the Ministry of Finance.
"80% of the municipalities that have adopted the path of responsibility and have taken measures, is overcoming the situation of economic depression. Unfortunately we are not part of that percentage, because despite the insistence of Ganar Totana, we must remember that this process would be much more advanced today if it were not for the delays occasioned in the approval of the Adjustment Plan, which was voted against until twice by PP and PSOE.
Little by little we are checking how the efforts and the measures adopted are bearing fruit.
For example, since January 2017, payments are being made to Mancomunidad and Canales del Taibilla, something that has not happened since 2012. We are convinced that this is the only way, we must continue working on improving the Adjustment Plan to be able to accept the aid and fulfill our responsibilities.
Stabilizing the economic situation is an absolute priority for Win Totana IU and we will continue to ensure the fulfillment of the commitments with seriousness and responsibility, as we have done so far.
