Win Totana denounces that "the nefarious policies of employment carried out by the PP Government show their failure and increase the number of unemployed" (07/09/2017)

In Totana also suffer the consequences of the Labor Reform, with precarious jobs, low wages, contracts of up to one day and cuts in labor rights that has imposed the PP of Rajoy

The regional leadership of IU-Verdes has stated that "the INEM data published by the government show the erratic national and regional Popular Party policy on employment."

Given the false news about the economic recovery proclaimed by the PP, the data are unappealable: 3,658 unemployed and 3.57% more in the Region of Murcia registered unemployment, the highest rise in all the Autonomous Communities.

To this we must add the type of employment that is generated, in its great precarious majority, with low salaries, seasonal and with a high percentage of partiality and temporality.

The interannual data on the evolution of the unemployment rate, shows that the Region of Murcia has moved from the first place to the last in the reduction of this rate, from -6'07% between June 2015 and June 2016, to -1'21 % between June 2016 and June 2017, when the state as a whole remains around -3%.

This dry braking demonstrates the volatility and instability, in addition to the precariousness of our labor system, where due to the precariousness of employment, many people with work live in a situation of poverty.

To get to the background of the evolution of unemployment in both the Region of Murcia and Spain, we must go further.

Why August is the worst since 2008?

What is the reason for this rapid decline in membership of Social Security?

Why does our region register the worst increase in registered unemployment in Spain?

The answer to all these questions is the precarious working model, with low salaries and temporary, with contracts of up to one day and cuts in labor rights that has imposed the PP of Rajoy.

The latest labor reforms, both the PSOE and after the PP, have left millions of Spaniards in a situation of total emergency, while confirming that the rich have experienced a growth of their purchasing power, at the same pace as families at risk of poverty increase and the so-called middle class disappears.

"Totana also suffers from the consequences of these dire employment policies to which we are subjected by the Popular Party Government, with an increase of 94 in unemployment. Although it is very difficult for a City Council to take the necessary measures in terms of employment, from Ganar Totana we understand that it is an absolute priority to demand that they be corrected the mistakes made and we will continue to fight and claim the right to a decent and quality job, as is our right and is set out in the Spanish Constitution.
