The Local Government Board has approved to initiate the file of request of adaptation of the installation of the municipal Ecoparque of Totana to the new regime of the Law 4/2009, of May 14, of Integrated Environmental Protection through the request of sectoral environmental authorization for this installation.
In February 2015, the City of Totana received a request from the General Directorate for the Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water to undertake the adaptation of the installation of the municipal Ecopark to this regulation.
In this way, the project to adapt the installation of the municipal Ecoparque de Totana was presented to the legal regime to obtain the pertinent sectoral authorization necessary for the development of the activity in this infrastructure managed by the Department of Urban Solid Waste of the Consistorio totanero .
The purpose of this law is to establish the legal regime and integrated administrative intervention procedures to which plans, programs, projects and activities that may affect the environment, as well as various development mechanisms, in order to achieve a high level of protection of the environment within the framework of the powers of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
In 2002, the City Council of Totana, at the request of the General Directorate of the Environment, has already prepared and submitted to the environmental body the environmental impact study of the construction project for this municipal infrastructure, which was published in the BORM in May 2003.
