It was his first official participation in international competition and no doubt he has noticed his inexperience but he has given the face and has managed to reach the final Stage Four.
The competition began on Friday 25 with the first sieve or phase 1 of groups that Gabriel surpassed with the second place of 4 participants passing to the second phase.
In this 2nd Stage of second place of Gabriel what was worth to him for the next Stage that was already disputed on Saturday 26 where Gabriel this time was first.
It remained in last Stage the number 4 where the first two would classify already between the 16 best players of the continent but Gabriel was left and had to settle for fighting for the position 17.
Today Sunday 27 already in the consolation box Gabriel has passed the first round before the French Elyott Bouyer and the second before the Slovakian Samuel Arpas to be eliminated by Marius Benchat of France.
Then by the final positions has won to Robin Renold (Switzerland) and has finally lost with the Slovakian Kristian Ueric which leaves him in the 22nd place which is not bad at all.
In short Gabriel's first participation in an official international competition where he has faced the best European players and that should serve him to continue growing as a player.
Lastly highlight the silver medal achieved in the same category of Gabriel (born in year 2006) by the Burgos player Daniel Berzosa who is the first medal of a Spanish player in a European championship in this category.
