The General Archive of the Spanish Civil War is a documentary organ located in the city of Salamanca, state-owned, created in 1999 and is currently integrated into the Documentary Center of Historical Memory, under the Ministry of Education, Culture And Sports.
It was created from the Civil War Section of the National Historical Archive, during the war, to store all the documentation that was not taken or destroyed at the end of it.
