The Official Cronista of the City, Juan Cánovas Mulero, presents this Saturday his last work on the local Holy Week "Totana, aromas and essences of Nazarene passion" (04/04/2017)

The Official Cronista of the City of Totana, professor and researcher Juan Cánovas Mulero, presents this Saturday, April 8, at 6:00 p.m., in the parish of Santiago his last work on the Holy Week of this town, which Is entitled "Totana, aromas and essences of Nazarene passion", a publication that offers a careful look at the celebration of Holy Week.

Throughout 320 pages that compose the edition, its author goes into the historical, social, cultural, anthropological and fundamentally religious in which this celebration of Holy Week is wrapped up in order to go over the dynamics that characterize each one Of the 17 brotherhoods and brotherhoods that give consistency to the Nazarene feeling of this city.

In the official presentation ceremony will also be attended by the pastor of Santiago, José Ruiz, the president of Illustrious Cabildo Superior of Processions, Antonio Martínez Belchí, the president of the Association of Writers of the Region, Ricardo Montes, general director of Cultural Assets, María Comas, and the mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas.

Professor Juan Cánovas Mulero officially received the title of Official Cronista of the Loyal and Noble City of Totana in December of 2014 for his connection to this city and his more than evident educational trajectory and researcher linked to it.

Cánovas Mulero was born in Totana on February 14, 1958;

Where he studied high school in the Institute Juan de la Cierva and Codorniú.

He carried out his studies in the University School of the Teachers of Basic General Education of Murcia, obtaining the title of Professor of EGB, specialty in Human Sciences, in 1980.

The author of "Totana, aromas and essences of Nazarene passion" is a tireless worker, connoisseur like nobody of the documented history of the city and its roots;

Juan Cánovas Mulero has authored numerous research works and didactic guides related to the municipality of Totana.

He has written, for example, "Confraternities and brotherhoods of Totana, four hundred years of Nazarene tradition" and was the winner of the I Alporchón Historical Research Prize with "religious social solidarity of the modern age." The Cofradías de Totana (XVI-XVII centuries ) ".
