The municipal government reports on the latest municipal actions and actions during the follow-up committee of the Children's Plenary (03/04/2017)

The municipal government of Totana has recently reported on the latest actions and municipal actions in the course of a new commission to follow up the Children's Plenary, which also reviews the demands made by children's corporations.

The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, have met with the smaller councilors in which he has been informed of the municipal initiatives carried out in the Consistorio totanero and that affect them directly.

In this regard, in the field of Youth, we have been informed of the efforts undertaken to find places for the development of leisure and leisure activities, such as the transfer of the Casa de la Calzona by the Commonwealth of the Taibilla Channels, Whose concession has the requisite to promote some action destined to emphasize the history and importance of the water.

It is also looking for location and financing to adapt a scooter-scooter track, and has been informed of the activities developed in the new program "Marzea", which have been aimed mainly at the adolescent population.

In the area of ​​Infrastructure and Citizen Participation, the process of neighborhood consultation has been explained to select the main projects to be undertaken in the Works and Services Plan of 2017, which will allow the construction of a children's playground in the San José neighborhood and the Arrangement and paving of some of the most deteriorated streets of the urban area, such as the Sucre and Moratalla roads.

In addition, other actions have been reported, such as the repainting of street signs in the urban center, the arrangement of the "Diego Manzano" garden in the Era Alta neighborhood, the extension of sidewalks on Santa Eulalia avenue and Puente and The access to the CEIP "San José" and a study of air conditioning of the schools.

Likewise, it has been noticed the state of processing of the document of the General Municipal Plan of Ordinance, in the period of allegations, and of the procedure of bidding of the hotel and houses of La Santa, to which no interested company attended.

Finally, it has explained the entire municipal agenda in matters of Education, Culture and Celebrations in this municipality for the coming weeks.

Totana Children's 1st Plenary was held last November with the staging of a Corporation formed by school representatives from different educational centers of the municipality, who transferred to the Municipal Corporation more than thirty proposals agreed by the students in the Schools related to different areas of municipal management.

This initiative was held in conjunction with the commemoration of the International Day of the Rights of the Child, and within the framework of the project promoted by the Councils of Education and Youth entitled "The Totana we want", in which students from 5 6th year of primary education and 1st and 2nd year of ESO of the "Santa Eulalia", "Santiago", "La Cruz", "La Milagrosa", "Reina Sofía" and "Deitania" schools.

Marta Sánchez Martínez, CEIP "Santa Eulalia", was elected mayor in her day after being chosen her project with more votes than the other five.
