The four municipal groups with representation in the City of Totana have raised a joint motion to be dealt with in the ordinary plenary session of March, in which the Ministry of Education and Universities of the Autonomous Community is requested that the students of the College of Lébor complete All his studies of Primary Education in the same.
The motion is supported by the request of the Association of Mothers and Parents (AMPA) of the CEIP Lébor requesting the Ministry to ensure that students enrolled in the center currently finish their studies in the same until they finish all the Primary cycle.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Universities is urged to modify the name of CEIP Lébor as a complete center as it has been since its inauguration more than 50 years ago.
As noted in the motion, the parents of children registered before 2013 at the CEIP de Lébor at the time of registration were not informed (because they had not yet proposed) that their children would not be able to finish His studies of Primary in that center, reason why registered them with the conviction that this school guaranteed the continuity and the stability of its children during all its scholastic stage.
One of the reasons given in writings and meetings to carry out the suppression of units is because it is a center with few children and few inscriptions;
Although this year there have been eight new registrations (seven for Infant Education and one for Primary), and parents are convinced that this number would be higher if all the courses for Children and Primary are offered.
On the other hand, the students who finish their stage in this center will increase the high ratios of other schools in Totana that they choose, since almost none have places.
Since the AMPA believe that, given that there are facilities with a very good equipment and infrastructure (in the absence of adapting the electrical power to the needs of the center), it would be a good opportunity to publicize and promote the school So that this one is complete of students and at the same time descongestione other centers of Totana.
