Last Saturday, March 11, the Regional Sports Orientation Regional Final was held in Molina de Segura, organized by the General Directorate of Sport of the Region of Murcia, where it is important to highlight the great results harvested by totanero schoolchildren, obtaining three titles of Regional champion, in the categories male child, female child and female juvenile.
A total of 12 schoolchildren from Totana belonging to the La Cruz, Santiago, Luís Pérez Rueda, Santa Eulalia, Juan de la Cierva and Prado Mayor schools participated.
The three regional orienteering champions were Manuel Martínez Barceló (Prado Mayor), in the men's boys category;
Marta Martínez Barcelo (Juan de la Cierva), in female child;
And Alba Martínez Ibáñez (Juan de la Cierva), in the female juvenile category.
Also worth noting is the second place of María Molino Castillo (Prado Mayor), in the category of female children ..
The results of the other totanero participants were as follows: in the men's fry category, Carlos Martínez Cánovas (Santiago), finished 12th, and Julio Martínez García (La Cruz), 29th;
In female fry, Eva López (Santa Eulalia), in the 25th position, and Romina Miriam Flores (Luís Pérez Rueda), ranked 37th;
In the feminine cadet, Lidia Nicolás Andreo (Juan de la Cierva), in the 7th place, Lucía Moreno Cánovas (Juan de la Cierva), in 18th place, and Natalia Valenzuela López (Juan de la Cierva), in 20th place;

This school competition concluded with the awarding of trophies and medals to the top three in each category by Juan Llor Moreno, Head of Sports Promotion and Activities Section of the General Sports Department of the Region of Murcia, and several representatives Of the Federation of Orientation of the Region of Murcia and of the City council of Molina de Segura.
