On Tuesday, February 28, the Physical Education Department of IES PRADO MAYOR, once again organized a CARRERA SOLIDARIA EDUCATIVA, for the benefit of the NGO "SAVE THE CHILDREN", according to Maria José Valera (Activity Coordinator) of the Department of Physical Education of the IES Prado Mayor of Totana .
Students from 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th ESO participated and the circuit was held in the surroundings of the Institute.
The exit was located in the Olympic street, following a circular route of about 800 mts.
In this singular race there were neither winners nor losers, since neither time was counted nor who arrived first.
Participation was simply valued and the greatest number of laps possible, since more laps, more financial contribution would be donated by its sponsors.
All the money raised in this race, through the sponsors of the corridors, will be delivered to the NGO "Save the Children", which in turn will destine it to the most disadvantaged children ..., with severe malnutrition, homelessness And / or family or for children who survive in countries at war.
In the organization and coordination of this event have collaborated different departments of the educational center and specifically from the Department of Physical Education and Orientation, have developed practical and theoretical contents based on Education in Values.
The involvement of all tutors and a large number of teachers at the center, together with the Management Team, the Center Secretary and the Mothers 'and Parents' Association has contributed to the success of the activity.
On the part of the students we must mention the collaboration of 1st Baccalaureate as monitors in the activity, distributing the equipment, controlling the turns made by each of the students, making the photographs of the report and distributing the Diplomas of participation.
On the other hand, the IES Prado Mayor thanks the collaboration of the City of Totana, the Department of Sports, Civil Protection, the Local Police, the Red Cross, and Hero company for their collaboration donating energy bars of chocolate to The participants of the test.
