A total of 435 people, including children and young people have participated during the month of July and part of August in various activities organized within the "Totana Verano'2016" program, promoted by the City of Totana, in collaboration with various associations and entities that are developing activities in the field of entertainment and leisure, sports and training.

77% of participants were children aged between 3 and 14 years, with remarkable also the participation of young people in activities related multisport, as has been the "Route guided by the Chicamo River" and the "Descend to the Segura River" and the "Archaeological Field Work in the Field of cones."

In the training aspect, fifteen young people have participated in the "Club of Languages" by which have attended preparatory classes for obtaining the Certificate of English at the B2 level by the University of Cambridge, an activity that has been carried out in collaboration with the Directorate General of Youth in the Region of Murcia.

The most popular activities were "Holidays Summer Edition 3.0" (known as summer schools), and the workshop "Creative and Fun Kitchen" in which involved a total of 335 children.

In "Camp Sierra Espuña" it has seen the number of participants increased over the previous year, with a total of 55 children.

This activity has been organized by the "UTE Ecoespuña-Leaf Storm" and has helped the Commonwealth Tourism Espuña.

The Department wishes to thank the involvement of associations and organizations that have collaborated in the organization and development of this summer entertainment program.

These associations and organizations have been "Collective for Social Promotion The Candle", "UTE Ecoespuña-Leaf Storm," "Association and Leisure Pandora's Box", "Association for Social and Tourism Promotion Totana Kalathos" "the Cañico Cultural Association" Association of Friends of the archaeological site La Bastida (ASBA) and the Directorate General of Youth in the Region of Murcia.
