The President and five directors of CEBAG have maintained this afternoon a long and cordial meeting with the Director General of Planning, Nuria Fuentes, and the Deputy Director General and two other senior officials of the Directorate General, in relation to the land-use planning of Totana (PGMO), which is in phase correction prior to possible approval, amendment that was submitted by the Regional Administration to the City Council last July 2015.

The President of CEBAG has informed the Director General and his team that CEBAG had presented several tens of thousands of claims to the successive versions of the Plan, and even they have filed an administrative appeal before the courts, to the resolution of approval partial Plan subject to rectifications 2011 dispute which is suspended until a possible final and complete approval of the Plan.

CEBAG representatives have informed the Director General and his team to believe that the current plan has nothing to do with the strategic option for tourism development that was raised twelve years ago.

So they are convinced that substantial change in the strategic model, must have resulted in a modified and revised Plan without agreements, based on the guidelines approved unanimously by all political groups on 29 December 2011.

The Director General has moved to the President and directors of CEBAG they do not have an opinion about it, but it is the Municipal Corporation which has to opt for the Strategic Plan model or procedure approval or review it considers most appropriate, based on the principle of local autonomy;

limiting the Regional Administration to find that the Plan complies, in its content and in its processing, to the strictest legality.

Asked representatives CEBAG whether they considered that the text of the rectifications required by the Autonomous Region to City Hall, were held to submit to public information should, have said they initially thought yes.

And so it had informally transferred to representatives of the City of Totana.

At the request of the representatives of CEBAG proceed if final approval of the Plan, once approved the rectifications by the full City Council, without being subject to public information;

representatives of the Directorate General have stated that if, after receiving the text of the agreement the City still considered today think that must be submitted to public information, would return to the City to proceed with this process before stakeholders and the report the claims could be presented.

The Director General has also ruled that its Directorate General will proceed to evaluate and resolve, partially, the final approval of the Plan.

But as said the resolution adopted, they will on the whole Plan and depending on the text sent to them by the City Council, and the report of the possible claims which may have been made in processing public that information as his view, the record of rectifications should have been previously submitted.
