Until October 27, COVID-19 aid can be requested from large families, multiple births and single parents (16/10/2020)

| (an adult with exclusive parental authority or with foster children) | The Department of Social Welfare recalls that until next October 27 autonomous aid can be requested for large families of a special category, families with daughters and sons born of multiple births (from three children) and single-parent families (one adult with exclusive parental authority or with minors in foster care).Last Wednesday, October 14, the application period for the aforementioned benefit from the Autonomous Community was opened, with which it is intended to support families who are in a special situation of difficulty due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.To be beneficiaries of these grants, it will be necessary for them to meet any of the following specific requirements:1.

To have daughters and sons born of multiple birth or adoption, considering as such for the purposes of this decree, the birth of at least three minors and less than six years old at the time of the application.

Likewise, the permanent foster care or custody for adoption purposes, legally constituted simultaneously, of at least three minors and with an age less than six years at the time of the request for the aid will be equated to the previous assumptions.2.

Being a large family of a special category according to the definition given by Law 40/2003, of November 18, on the Protection of Large Families.3.

In the case of a single-parent family, that the daughters or sons that comprise it are single people under 21 years of age, or be a person with a disability or be unable to work, whatever their age.

However, such age limit will be extended to 25 years of age, when they pursue studies that are considered appropriate for their age and degree or aimed at obtaining a job.

In addition to this requirement, they must be in one of the following factual cases:a) That the ascendant appears as the only parent in the Civil Registry.b) That the ascendant has exclusive parental authority.c) That the ascendant is widowed or in a similar situation.d) That it is a family made up of a person and the minors that they have in foster care for a period equal to or greater than one year.The classes or types of these grants will be the following:a) Food expenses, excluding alcoholic beverages.b) Rates or prices of dining rooms in public or subsidized centers.c) Clothing expenses (textiles and footwear).d) Pharmacy and parapharmacy expenses.e) Hygienic-sanitary.f) Childcare accessories.g) Expenses derived from attending Childcare Centers, extracurricular activities or extension of hours to reconcile family and work life.h) Expenses derived from the hiring of personnel for the home care of the dependent person (s) for the reconciliation of family and work life.i) Any other analogous concepts that are established in the call derived from changes in social or economic circumstances.The amount granted must be justified within a period of 3 months from its grant and must be based on the total amount granted and the concepts granted.

The supporting documents will be related to expenses incurred from January 1 to December 31, 2020.

If the provision is not sufficiently or correctly justified, the applicant must return the total amount granted.The call is open from October 14, 2020 and applications can be submitted through the Town Hall's Single Window (request for a prior appointment must be made) during a period of 10 business days, that is until October 27, 2020 (inclusive) .
