In the last plenary session held in the Totana City Council, on July 30, 2020, the request for a Moratorium and Scientific Study was approved for the implementation of 5G Technology in the national territory, as reported by the Association for Health in a statement.This motion was presented by the Municipal Group Ganar Totana Izquierda Unida, being approved with 19 votes in favor and 1 abstention.The 19 votes were obtained with the six members of IU, the six from the PP, the five from the PSOE, one from Vox and one from Ciudadanos.

The abstention came from the hand of the representative of the Now Totana Citizen Platform.The motion is governed by four points.

in the national territory.The second point includes that the Totana City Council agrees to request an environmental evaluation of the 5G plans and projects that may be proposed in the municipality.Its third point includes the commitment of the Public Administrations involved to report with total transparency about the possible location of all antennas and cells that could be installed.And in the fourth and last point, it is collected to transfer this agreement to the Government of the Nation.This motion is the consequence of the concern of a large number of Totana residents for the installation of this technology, according to the Health Association comments to Totana.com.There are already several countries and municipalities that have submitted a moratorium or blocked its implementation, including Switzerland, Belgium, Australia, Slovenia, Poland, Glastonbury City Council in the United Kingdom, County Clare in Ireland, more than 14 municipalities in Italy , Hawaii, Corsica ...There are numerous independent scientists who have been warning of the damage of these radiations for years.

And others, almost always related to the industry, determined to sell it as the only way to progress, giving it endless advantages.But, if it is a technology as innocuous as some describe it, why is there not a single study financed with public money and carried out by independent scientists, that reflects that transparency?
