| They may request up to 3,000 euros for oral treatment and hearing aids; 1,000 euros for electric beds and up to 300 euros for glasses | The Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, through the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), has launched a call for aid for people with disabilities for a total amount of 500,000 euros, according to sources from the Department of Social Welfare.The aids, which people with a degree of disability greater than 33 percent can choose, are for oral treatment (up to 3,000 euros), purchase of hearing aids (up to 3,000 euros), purchase of electric beds (up to 1,500 euros) and glasses (up to 300 euros).The applications will be submitted within a maximum period of 20 business days from tomorrow, Thursday, after the IMAS resolution was published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) on 10 June.Applicants must submit documents proving their economic situation, return on their movable capital; cadastral value of the real estate that is among its properties and certificate of the degree of disability.
Health problems that can be accredited in the family nucleus are also considered.The maximum amount of aid to be granted by IMAS may be extended to complete one million euros if necessary.
If the first 500,000 euros are not spent, the IMAS may allocate the financial envelope to other types of social spending.IMAS has a period of six months to respond to aid applications.
Administrative silence will be considered a denial.
