The provision of services in the Day Centers for People with Intellectual Disability and Mental Illness is gradually resumed tomorrow (14/06/2020)

| The in-person care of children from the Center for Child Development and Early Care of the municipality is also restored | The Department of Social Welfare communicates that the Day Centers for People with Intellectual Disabilities "José Moyá Trilla" and for People with Mental Illness resume services Monday, June 15, gradually and progressively to users who have decided to join until the end of the course.The attention of the users will be individualized with a monitor in each case; and it will be provided two days a week during an interval of three hours, in this case, from 10:00 to 13:00.The people who are going to join, who will be accompanied by one monitor per user, will carry out training, educational, artistic and leisure activities and free time.In addition, users who have decided to join in September will continue to receive telematic attention from professionals, as they have been doing since the state of alarm was decreed as a result of the pandemic by COVID-19.In principle, a total of 7 users are expected to attend the Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities "José Moyá Trilla" and 9 in the case of the Center for People with Mental Illness, respectively.Early attention, also this MondayIn the framework of the specialized Social Services managed by the Totana City Council, the Department of Social Welfare reports that the Center for Child Development and Early Care (CDIAT), within the limitations imposed by confinement and the state of alarm has maintained some kind of contact with many of the families of the boys and girls who receive Early Care support.At the end of March, the CDIAT prepared a first Contingency Plan, sent to IMAS, with the aim of providing support and support to the families of the children.During the months of March, April and May, the Early Care professionals (speech therapists, physiotherapist and psychologist) have maintained contact with the families, and as far as possible, with the children themselves, through telephone calls, video calls, delivery of stimulation material, etc.A new Contingency Plan has recently been drawn up, with the aim of resuming face-to-face care for children who have some kind of need during their childhood development, or who are at risk of suffering from it.As a result of this work coordinated with the IMAS this coming Monday, June 15, the face-to-face attention in Early Care will be partially resumed, guaranteeing, from the public administration, an essential service for many children and families.
