At the moment the warning for rains is still yellow (25 mm / h).The orange warning for storms and rains that can accumulate 40 mm / h is maintained in Vega del Segura and Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón, and the yellow warning for rains and storms in the Northwest and the Altiplano.An orange storm warning means that there is a possibility of highly organized and widespread storms.
They can locally produce very heavy intensity rains, large hail and strong gusts of wind.The day is passing as expected, with some locally strong showers in points in the south and east of the Region of Murcia, but they will become more intense, frequent and widespread from noon.We insist on the advice we gave yesterday: avoid driving this afternoon, do not cross boulevards and ravines due to the possibility of sudden flooding in the channels, protect what is likely to be affected by hail and hold the elements that can be displaced or blown away by the wind.For tomorrow, although the situation is not expected to be as complicated as it is today, locally strong hail-accompanied storms can still occur, especially in the southern half of the Region.
The storm warning has already been activated in the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Águilas, Vega del Segura and Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón.Be very careful today and tomorrow, especially this afternoon.
