| Due to maintenance works in the service | The Municipal Water Service reports that this Wednesday, June 10, the supply of drinking water will be cut throughout the urban area, from 8:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m., due to maintenance works on the service.
Starting at 2:00 p.m., the service will gradually be restored in its entirety for a period of approximately 24 hours. The reason for the cut is due to improvements in the infrastructures in the El Catre area, whose work consists in the renewal of pipe sections with other materials more resistant to breakdowns, located at a more ideal depth for future maintenance work.The Department of Works and Infrastructure resumed the work of the two general collectors of drinking water in early May, in full alarm, whose actions have been carried out by the company "Instalaciones Hergasa 2006 SL", which was awarded the work for a budget of 77,3776.21 euros, and work began at the end of last April.The performance has a forecast of completion of a month and a half; and the work management and coordination of Health and Safety is being carried out through INGECO engineering.This is a work of necessity due to the breakdown problems that have occurred and the instability of the networks that have forced the work to be carried out in this context; at the same time that all safety and prevention measures have been complied with, especially those related to COVID-19 as it is a work in an open space and without a massive concentration of workers.
