The mayor confirms that the municipality of Totana will pass next Monday June 8 to phase 3 along with the entire Region of Murcia (02/06/2020)

The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, has confirmed that the municipality of Totana will pass next Monday June 8 to phase 3 of the transition to the new normality along with the entire Region of Murcia. This was communicated to him by the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, in the telematic meeting that he held together with the vice president, Isabel Franco, and the Presidency and Health advisers, Javier Celdrán and Manuel Villegas.Precisely, Totana advanced to phase 2 this past Monday, June 1 after spending just one week on the previous step of the de-escalation, as a result of an epidemiological outbreak that recommended caution by the health authorities of the Autonomous Community. In this way, the indicators on the monitoring of the pandemic in the Region of Murcia support the change from phase 2 to phase 3 in all municipalities, with Totana being the only one in the Region to stay for one week in phase 2 while the the rest will do it for two. This new phase implies some differences such as the expansion of capacity of places of worship (75%), shops (50%) and bar bars are enabledIn addition, the regional government is going to request two restrictions such as limiting outdoor activity to a maximum of 100 people and 50 in indoor areas; and nominate public or private transport tickets. One of the beneficiaries of this phase change will be hospitality establishments such as bars and restaurants.

From phase 3, they will be able to attend to their clients at the bar, something not allowed until now, although keeping the distance of two meters, which allows them to expand their capacity within their establishment. The Government has eliminated the slots in phase 3 of the de-escalation and will allow meetings of up to a maximum of 20 people in homes and outdoors. In this phase of de-escalation, no time slot will be reserved for any group.

In the case of social contact with people who are among the groups considered vulnerable to COVID-19, extreme security and hygiene measures must be taken. In addition, the order establishes that the groups should be a maximum of twenty people, except in the case of people living together. In phase 3, it will be possible to move around the province, island or territorial unit of reference for the purposes of the de-escalation process, without prejudice to the exceptions that justify the displacement to another part of the national territory for health, labor, professional or business reasons, return to the place of family residence, assistance and care of the elderly, dependents or people with disabilities, cause of force majeure or situation of need or any other of a similar nature. With the arrival of phase 3, the need for teleworking is eliminated, so that citizens are allowed to go to their jobs, although they will be subject to the protocols for reincorporation to work that the Government will establish and the preferred option remains teleworking.
