| They affect 1,090 workers | The Ministry of Employment, Research and Universities has processed a total of 267 ERTES in the municipality of Totana since the social and economic crisis began as a result of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, affecting 1,090 workers; of which 623 are women (57.16%) and 467 men (42.84%).In the Guadalentín region, the following are counted by municipality: Lorca (4,186), Alhama de Murcia (1,197), Mazarrón (1,241), Águilas (1,183), Puerto Lumbreras (515), Librilla (213) and Aledo (fifteen).The Temporary Employment Regulation File (ERTES) is that measure taken by companies when, for justified reasons - economic, technical, organizational, production or due to force majeure, such as the current health crisis -, it is decided to suspend or temporarily reduce the contracts of its workers.It is a procedure by which a company in an exceptional situation seeks to obtain authorization to dismiss workers, suspend work contracts or reduce working hours temporarily, when they are experiencing technical or organizational difficulties that put the company's continuity at risk.The worker's departure from the company is limited in time, since after a period, he returns to his job; therefore, unlike the Employment Regulation File, it does not imply the dismissal of the employee forever.

ERTE can be applied regardless of the number of workers the company has.Workers consume their unemployment benefit while the ERTE is applied.

The salary in the first 180 days becomes 70%, in the case of losing your job, the days consumed by the ERTE are discounted from the period with the right to collection, and finally, it is common for companies to negotiate a salary supplement , although it does not usually cover 100% of the income.In addition, the General Directorate of Social Economy and Autonomous Work of this Ministry has enabled three lines of aid to self-employed workers in the Region of Murcia under the Employment Program (per worker member who joins society depending on the group, the aid goes from 7,000 to 11,500 euros) and the Capital Contribution Program (25% general subsidy of contributed capital and subsidy of up to 4,000 euros).Another line is also articulated within the framework of the Investment Program, with a 50% subsidy, a 30% investment subsidy and a minimum investment to be entitled to aid of 12,000 euros.Self-employed workers who meet the requirements that, in the case of Totana, were accounted for 2,368 (January), 2,375 (February), 2,365 (March) and 2,365 (April).Note.- A resolution of the General Directorate of the Regional Employment and Training Service is attached, establishing extraordinary measures as a consequence of the impact of COVID-19 on vocational training for employment in the workplace.
