Totana joins, one more year, the commemoration of the International Museum Day to be held on May 18, whose motto proposed by the International Council of Museums is "Equality: diversity and inclusion".For this reason, the Departments of Culture and Tourism have prepared a program of activities that you can visit virtually from May 15 to 18 on the corporate Facebook profiles of Turismo Totana and Totana Cultural, respectively.In order to promote citizen participation and make it possible to bring it closer to the world of museums, a proposal has been made that is expected to be well received by citizens.

It is about jointly carrying out, among all the totaneros who want to join this initiative, a COLLECTIVE SAMPLE OF TOTANE CRAFTS.What does this Exhibition consist of and what must be done to participate?If you have ceramic pieces from the Totanera pottery and other typical objects of this municipality, you can photograph them and send the photos to the email totanadesdecasa@gmail.com as the deadline until May 16; so that, later, on Monday, May 18, all the images of the Collective Handicrafts Show, with all the photos received, will be uploaded to the Facebook profiles of Turismo Totana and Totana Cultural.Among the museums, exhibitions and samples that you can visit virtually include: - Approach to the History of Totana and the Torre de Santiago.- Permanent exhibition "Overcoming the prison walls", on the History of the building of the old Totana Prison.- The Fountain of Juan de Uzeta.- Museum Collection of the Local Police of Totana, with the exposition of its person in charge, the agent of the Local Police Andrés Martín Gómez Cánovas.

- Small ethnographic sample of our customs and traditions, by Eduardo Monserrat, member of the Peña La Mantellina de Coros y Danzas Ciudad de Totana.- La Bastida, the Troy of the West.- Culture in the Totana Day Centers.- Totana, in dialogue with its cultural and artistic heritage, by Juan Cánovas Mulero, Official Chronicler of the City of Totana.- Painting Exhibition "Totana, the color of a Centennial", from the Con-Traste Association.- Collective exhibition of totanera crafts, counting on the participation of citizens who voluntarily join this initiative.
