The municipality of Totana will receive some 420,000 euros for the improvement of deficit infrastructures in the year 2020/21 within the Works and Services Plan that will allow for the improvement and renovation of equipment, infrastructure or buildings., As reported by the Ministry of the Presidency and Finance to the City Council.The Autonomous Community has recently communicated to the municipalities the amounts that correspond to them in the framework of the Plan of districts and the Plan of Works and Services for the years 2020 and 2021The regional government is accelerating the procedures to make available to the 45 municipalities in the Region the 16 million euros of the Works and Services Plan (POS) and the Neighborhood and District Plan corresponding to the years 2020 and 2021. Once these amounts have been notified, the municipalities must present the works projects they want to finance.

In the case of the Works and Services Plan, intended for the 41 municipalities with less than 50,000 inhabitants, the deadline for communicating these projects is June 11, while the four municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants have until May 30.The regional government intends that the municipalities can have financing as soon as possible so that they can tender works, and in this way help to revive the economy and in particular the construction sector, which in turn acts as an engine for other sectors.Specifically, through these two plans, the municipalities can develop proximity actions such as the repair and restoration of streets, highways, roads or sidewalks, improvement works in municipal buildings and facilities, renovation of lighting to achieve greater energy efficiency or the conditioning of parks and other public spaces, among others.These are two tools created to strengthen collaboration with municipalities and guarantee the provision of public services of local competence in an adequate and efficient way.

In the case of the Works and Services Plan, the total endowment is 12 million euros divided into two annuities, while 4 million euros are allocated to the Neighborhood and District Plan.
