to 9:00 p.m., respectively | The Municipal Pedestrianization Commission of the City of Totana has agreed to pedestrianize a total of 14 squares and streets of the urban area in order to enable walking and recreation spaces for citizens during the time of de-escalation in this municipality.Last Friday, the members of this Working Group, chaired by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Mobility and the Environment, Pedro José Sánchez, met and included representatives of all the municipal political groups.The streets to be counted for traffic in the Seville neighborhood are San Ramón, Santiago, Barco, Sol, Plaza de la Constitución, Avenida General Aznar, San Juan, Héroe Bartolomé Cayuela, Vidal Abarca, Calatrava, Don Ginés and Mayor Sevilla (a half).

For its part, in the Triana neighborhood, the Alberto Gray Peinado and Juan XXIII routes will be cut.The pedestrianization of these areas of downtown Totana will be transitory and will take place on Sundays from May 17 -to avoid affecting labor movements and delivery services, etc.-, from 9:00 a.m.

to 9:00 p.m., respectively .This measure has the approval of the Local Police, which will coordinate these actions, so that ordinary street cuts will be made through fences that indicate the prohibition of passage, duly placed by the municipal brigades in extraordinary service.The councilor of the branch, Pedro José Sánchez, has informed that this measure will be applied on a temporary basis, as long as its implementation is convenient during the state of alarm and the danger of contagion of the epidemic; and that, as he has predicted, "it must mean an increase in the quality of life of citizens and an opportunity for recreation."In addition, it has advanced that “if there is interest and acceptance on the part of the population in maintaining this measure, once the risk of contagion of coronavirus has been eliminated, its maintenance for Sunday use will be duly studied; and otherwise, it will be canceled ”.Its application will be launched as a result of the proposal made by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Mobility and the Environment on pedestrianization measures to the Board of Spokespersons this week and debated by the members of the aforementioned Working Table.Likewise, it has been agreed to review and debate more proposals made by the municipal groups in the Board of Spokespersons scheduled for this Monday, May 11, in order to improve the existing alternatives.
