This week the second distribution of masks assigned by the Government Delegation to the municipality of Totana is taking place (07/05/2020)

| Whose lot amounts to 8,000 copies | The distribution is intended for essential services personnel and users of public transport, roads and access to work centersMembers of the Local Police and Civil Guard and Civil Protection volunteers in this town are distributing during this week the 8,000 masks assigned by the Government Delegation, in a second batch, to the municipality of Totana.This action is part of the campaign promoted by the Government of Spain for the protection of health in public transport, and is being coordinated under the agreement with the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia for the protection of service personnel essential and vulnerable groups, respectively.The Totana City Council has made a commitment to prioritize the distribution of these masks based on the needs and characteristics of the municipality, in such a way that, from Tuesday to Thursday, 3,200 have to be distributed individually in the nodes public transport, roads and access to work centers, such as the "El Saladar" industrial estate and the main areas of work activity.In addition, the remaining 4,800 masks must be distributed among essential services personnel (Local Police, Civil Protection, Fire, Social Services, nursing homes, public employees, etc.) and more vulnerable social groups or those at risk of social exclusion.The distribution has been made during maximum mobility hours for travel to workplaces, fundamentally between 6:00 and 10:00; and it has been carried out individually and not to companies, groups or private homes.This is the second delivery of masks made by the Government of Spain, in two extraordinary campaigns to resume work with the maximum guarantees, controlling urban mobility and following the recommendations of hygiene and public health.The distribution method has been carried out by Local Police and Civil Guard agents, Civil Protection volunteers and municipal services, who from the Totanero Town Hall are grateful for their commendable effort and commitment to citizens and the general public interest.
