Civil Protection is distributing, since the material is available, masks in the homes of needy families in Totana; and the Autonomous Community does so from today among people over 65 in pharmaciesThe Order of the Ministry of Health with the maximum prices for the sale of protection products to the public has entered into force this weekend, whose document sets the maximum price of hydroalcoholic gels and solutions at 0.021 euros per milliliter and at 0.96 euros the price of disposable surgical masks, according to sources from the Department of Consumer Affairs. The Official State Gazette (BOE) published last Thursday the maximum amounts for sale to the public agreed by the Interministerial Commission on Drug Prices for both surgical masks and disinfectant gels to guarantee access to the recommended products as hygienic measures.

to prevent COVID-19 infections, the same sources indicate. The Department of Consumer Affairs informs that, according to this order, containers of up to 150 milliliters of gels or hydroalcoholic solutions temporarily authorized by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) will have a maximum price of 0.021 euros per milliliter, that is to say , a 150 milliliter bottle cannot exceed 3.15 euros. The price drops to 0.018 euros / ml for containers that contain between 150 and 300 ml and to 0.015 euros / ml those that have between 300 ml and a liter, so a 300 ml bottle cannot exceed 5.4 euros and those of a liter the 15 euros. Despite the fact that surgical masks are the only ones that have been regulated, the Interministerial Commission on Drug Prices will establish at its next meeting the maximum amounts for the sale to the public of hygienic masks and healthy skin antiseptics authorized by the AEMPS, once you have more information about manufacturing costs. The fixing of prices was a demand of the General Council of Pharmaceutical Colleges, which has positively valued the regulation of surgical masks, considering that it will curb speculation. The collegial organization has recalled, however, that its proposal was to set the price at origin, in order to avoid shortages, and not only a maximum price regulation for its dispensation. In addition, consumer and user organizations advocate that the Executive establish the maximum price for all face masks, not only that for surgical masks, and that it be "democratic and accessible" for all families, and a maximum price is also required for those of high protection, FFP2 and equivalents, which may be needed by both people living with an infected person and people from risk groups.Classification Types of Masks made by Department of Consumption* Surgical masks.-They retain the saliva droplets that are the ones that contain the virus, so they are effective in preventing contagion, therefore the person they protect the most is people who could be contaminated.
