Good Friday procession at night.
The unmistakable sound of the tablets of the church tower echoes in the sky of Totana, when suddenly a sweet bugle sound announces the departure of the passage of Jesus on Calvary on the shoulders of the aids of our Brotherhood.
Nazarenes and neighbors hold their breath at this unique and special moment of Good Friday night.
This procession, that of the Holy Burial, which keeps aromas of mystery and tradition in each street of our Town.
On his shoulders and under a cloak of flowers, the crucified Christ stands on Mount Calvary while Mary, Saint John and Mary Magdalene cry for the moment.
Suddenly, the passage stops and our band of cornets and drums lets the throne come forward to create a wonderful moment.
A solemn hoop cut gives rise to the beginning of the “Nazareno” march by the Composer Luis Ángel Sánchez (2004), dedicated to Pepe Bedia, who enjoyed totanera Holy Week so much.
The members of our band, from their homes, interpret this march that has been edited in post-production so that it sounds just as it does on this Good Friday night.
In a very special way, this march is dedicated to all the deceased of our Brotherhood, and especially, we want to take advantage of the occasion to dedicate it to all the Nazarene deceased and those affected by COVID-19.
