The Totana City Council wants to publicly thank each and every one of the organizations, institutions, entities, companies and individuals who, in one way or another, have been collaborating since the health crisis began, coinciding above all with the state of alarm and confinement domiciliary, with the social cause of helping those who need it most with nothing in return.
At this point, one of the companies that is having the greatest projection inside and outside the municipality of Totana is the Totanera factory, Mobel Sport, SL;
dedicated to the manufacture of sports and school garments, SL, its commitment to the solidarity manufacturing of protective garments for hospitals, NGOs and police forces.
The totanera company, altruistically and in solidarity, has been working for more than a week in the manufacture and distribution of masks and other protective clothing such as gowns and surgical boots.
In this sense, they have been collaborating directly in the sewing workshops coordinated by the Spanish Red Cross and Civil Protection in Totana, with the production of 10,000 masks and 300 disposable gowns;
as well as a type of special sanitary mask for the maintenance personnel of the Rafael Méndez Hospital (200 units) and many others for numerous municipalities in the Region, residences, health centers and local police officers of that autonomous community.
The totanera factory has become a regional benchmark these weeks and has, in fact, suspended its manufacture of sportswear to reorganize its workers and adapt its factory to produce protective material that is now a necessity.
And in a totally altruistic way.
The company has been marking and cutting the tissue for the production of necessary protective masks for the municipality of Totana;
and it has adapted its facilities completely to make itself available to the Ministry of Health to manufacture masks, surgical boots and pajamas for health centers in the Region of Murcia.
Mobel Sport owns the Mobel and Momoi brands and has more than thirty years of experience in manufacturing technical sportswear for cycling, triathlon, athletics and team sports, as well as uniforms for educational centers and nursery schools.
Likewise, the City Council wants to thank, with the same rank of importance, recognition and social reputation, the more than 40 companies and the twenty anonymous individuals for their disinterested spirit with the Local Police and Civil Protection of Totana to help these professional groups and social.
Dozens and dozens of solidarity shows of the self-employed, families and individuals, from all walks of life, sexes and social condition, who are collaborating to the best of their ability and spending a good part of their time in the commendable task of helping in the common good to help in this cause that unites society.
The helps are multiple and diverse;
and they range from food, clothing, kitchenware, material for the preparation of sanitary protection elements, cleaning and hygiene products, goods and services, among others;
and they are being channeled by Civil Protection, the Spanish Red Cross and Cáritas through the Social Emergency Coordination Table set up to combat the epidemic in Totana.
