The City Council adheres to the World Day of Lipodystrophies that is celebrated tomorrow March 31 with the placement of a commemorative banner (30/03/2020)

The Totana City Council adheres to the World Lipodystrophy Day that is celebrated tomorrow March 31 with the placement of a commemorative banner on the main facade of the town hall building, as has happened in recent years.

If it were not for the current circumstances caused by the state of alarm caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Mayor's Office planned to raise a proposal in the plenary session of March to agree on institutional adherence to this commemorative day with the decalogue of social demands and sanitary.

The City Council highlights the work being carried out by the International Association of Families and People Affected by Lipodystrophies (AELIP), based in Totana, created with the aim of improving the quality of life of people suffering from these pathologies, as well as in their families, in countries of the five continents.

AELIP also works to improve the life expectancy of patients, create living spaces for those affected by lipodystrophy, raise awareness and give visibility to the problem, support research in lipodystrophy and carry out training actions, among other objectives.
