The Management of the Lorca Health Area III, to which the Totana Health Centers belong, will inform the municipal authorities and the police officers in this municipality (Civil Guard and Local Police) of the case of patients who do not comply with the quarantine. or home isolation.
The Ministry of Health has issued an instruction for the managers of the health areas to inform the authorities in the event of these circumstances.
This measure has been implemented following the verification in medical follow-up calls of non-compliance with isolation or quarantine by many patients.
This instruction states that if the existence of COVID-19 positive patients or in quarantine due to suspicion of coronaviruses that are not respecting the isolation and confinement measures that have been indicated, the corresponding Area Management, in guarantee of The general public health, must communicate the names and surnames of said patients and addresses to the governmental authority (local or national), in order that they verify these facts and proceed as appropriate.
Most of the population is complying with the requirements of the health authorities in an exemplary way, although the breakdown of home confinement to which some patients diagnosed with coronavirus in some parts of the Region of Murcia have been reported.
These are isolated cases, of enormous severity, since they not only endanger their health, but also that of the entire population, and that of health professionals who ensure our health security.
