The first neighbor of Totana discharged by coronavirus, the pediatric ICU nurse at the Arrixaca Elena Lucerga Romera University Hospital, urges the general population of this municipality to obey the house confinement decreed by the health authorities as the best tool to fight the pandemic and look to the future with hope.
She was discharged last Friday afternoon at the Rafael Méndez Hospital in Lorca, where she remained hospitalized and isolated for ten days after having been infected as a result of performing her professional health practice at the hospital where she works.
From the Totana City Council we appreciate the willingness of Elena Lucerga to agree to record this institutional message in order to persuade the public of Totama of the need to pay attention, with responsibility and civility, to the protection recommendations ordered to reduce the contagion curve over the next two difficult weeks.
