The Totana City Council advises and calls for older people, as far as possible, not to physically move this month to collect their pensions from the corresponding banks to avoid unnecessary risks derived from the health epidemic caused by the coronavirus and that infections spread.

a procedure that is not recommended in the current crisis situation we are experiencing;
therefore, it is recommended that a son or young family member come to carry out this procedure.
Some financial entities have communicated with the City Council to channel a message of calm and tranquility among the population, because the money from these pensions will also be in the accounts of their beneficiaries without any problem.
In addition, it is advocated that all those pensioners who can collect their benefit electronically, do so, or through ATMs;
and the largest beneficiaries are urged to call the banks when they have any questions to see how their personal situation is and how they can proceed in each case.
The City Council insists that nothing happens or money is lost because the beneficiaries will receive their benefit several days later, since it is about avoiding unnecessary concentrations or crowds of people, and above all susceptible to contagion.
In the obligatory or extreme necessity case, the banking entities will demand the fulfillment of the security and individual protection measures in the case of the clients who meet at the branch.
The elderly population is the most at risk in infection with this virus, so all necessary precautions must be taken with this group.
