TOTANA RED CROSS RELEASE
We communicate to the general population that the Totana Red Cross is coordinating an initiative to manufacture Sanitary Masks and Gowns.
This initiative that has its origin in the Totana City Council and a large number of private individuals, will be carried out under the Coordination of our Vice President Isabel Pascual Mellinas.
The action already has more than 60 seamstresses and seamstresses from all over the region who, having a sewing machine and basic notions of cutting and sewing, are willing to contribute their time and knowledge to humanitarian work and for the benefit of the whole Society in general.
The fabric necessary for the manufacture of all the material will be donated by the company ZAMBÚ HIGIENE, SL.
From the Totana Red Cross we announce that we plan to manufacture 2,000 pieces per week, both for masks and gowns.
The manufacturing will be done within a "Safe Environment", since all people will work from home, with Totana Civil Protection being responsible for the transfer and collection of material from the Red Cross to the home of each collaborator.
All this material, as it is manufactured, will be made available to the City of Totana, who will distribute it to the groups in need of it (Health, Civil Protection, Police, Workers, etc.)
We want to expressly thank the company ZAMBÚ HIGIENE SL for their contribution, as well as all the people who have joined the project, making their time and knowledge available to the Company.
We will continue to report.
