The Local Police warns of the existence of two scammers in Totana who charge 150 euros to elderly people who live alone for the reading and alleged management of accountants, whose procedure has been repeated in several cases and has been reported to this Body by relatives of the victims.
Apparently, they are two men, of Spanish nationality, who, after gaining the trust of their victims, deceive them by posing as technicians from companies or official bodies, and they force the corresponding payment of 150 euros.
The Local Police urges the neighbors to receive these visits in their homes from these scammers or similar to report it because there is no activity of this nature in this situation of alarm.
It is also recommended that citizens distrust other people who pose as health professionals visiting homes with the excuse of doing the coronavirus diagnostic test, and take advantage of access to homes to steal.
It is requested not to open the doors to unknown persons and in case of any suspicion, do not hesitate to notify the Local Police or Civil Guard (968 41 81 81 or 968 42 00 53).
