The Local Police of Totana wants to publicly thank the donations of protection material, self-protection and household cleaning and disinfection products that are being made by representatives of the Chinese community residing in this municipality, local companies and neighbors in a private capacity.

In the last hours, the Local Police Headquarters, in the same way that has happened in the case of Civil Protection, have received batches of self-protection masks, latex gloves, toilet paper and containers of bleach and sodium hypochlorite with a broad spectrum disinfectant. .

In another order of affairs, the Local Police has not carried out any more sanctions for disobedience to residents of Totana in the last 24 hours, although it has closed the activity of a new premises before the application of measures contained in Royal Decree 463/2020 , of March 14, which declares this situation of national exceptionality;

plus those that the Civil Guard has processed.

Similarly, since yesterday, 62 more people have been identified on public roads and 15 new vehicles have been intercepted.

In this way, since last Sunday the police controls began to count a total of 19 sanctions for disobedience, 182 identifications of people who were traveling on public roads, 114 controls on vehicles and six closings of local activity;

plus all those that the Civil Guard has formulated.

From the beginning of this week, members of the Civil Guard and the Local Police have been tightening controls, both at fixed and mobile points in the municipality, warning of the need for home confinement and authorizing only exits justified for exclusively labor reasons and the acquisition of products from First need.

Controls are carried out both in the urban area, especially in areas that have usually had a traditional transit of people and vehicles, as well as on the outskirts of the city, and the districts.

In addition, some of the coercive consequences of non-compliance with the measures established by the state of alarm are recalled, whose pecuniary penalties for disobedience range between 600 and 30,000 euros, even reaching penalties of 18 months in prison.
