The Popular Party proposes in the plenary of February the construction of a path from Totana to Santa to make this journey on foot and without danger to traffic.
The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment will be urged to execute the Pilgrim's Path;
Totana- La Santa in its section II.

At the end of January the Popular Spokesman, Juan Pagán, held a meeting with the Counselor Antonio Luengo, where he presented this initiative and after that it was officially raised to be debated in the plenary session of February.
The Sanctuary of Santa Eulalia de Mérida, "la Santa", is located seven kilometers from the city of Totana.
It is accessed by RM-502, which crosses the orchards of Totana, a place where orange, lemon, almond and flowers offer a show of special fragrance.
In this Sanctuary the image of Santa Eulalia de Mérida, patron of Totana since 1644, is venerated. This devotion overflows the city limits to extend to other parts of the Region of Murcia, as well as to other regions, where pilgrims and devotees arrive .
The devotion to Santa Eulalia is increasing year after year.
This devotion to climb the place of Santa Eulalia on pilgrimage, is not only expressed in the days of pilgrimage, but we see how on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, in addition to weekdays, the many pilgrims are also joined by cyclists and walkers using said road, in this case sharing road with the traffic, with the consequent danger to them.
Although it is true that there are several alternative paths through the mountains and the boulevards, with some difficulty, pilgrims and cyclists go down the road, taking all the risks.
Hence the urgent need to make a path that runs parallel to the road to respond to a historical demand, providing more security for pilgrims, even increasing their number.
Said tour would start from the door of the Santiago El Mayor Church to the Sanctuary of Santa Eulalia de Mérida, being aware of the problems existing with the buildings of the municipality and mostly that of the orchards to the area of ​​the La Charca Urbanization (Section I: Totana-La Pond).
This obstacle could be solved, provisionally, using the Honda Acequia Road until the road of the RM502 widens.
Once La Charca has passed to the Sanctuary of Santa Eulalia, 3,8Km remain (Section II), it is observed that the right side of the road, in the Totana-Aledo direction, can be done on this path.
That is why the Popular Municipal Group fully proposes the request for this construction before the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Environment.
