The City Council of Totana will take legal measures against the organizers of the I Motocross Championship Region of Murcia for the use of the corporate logos of the Consistory and the Department of Sports to publicly announce, without consent, this test in a sports venue of which there is a closing file and is sealed.
As this City Council has learned, next Sunday begins the Motocross Championship of the Region of Murcia and the Murcia Open in the so-called Solmoto Mx Park circuit, which is located between the Los Balcones area of ​​the totanera deputation of El Paretón-Cantareros and Las Cañadas de Romero, in the municipality of Mazarrón.
The Consistory totanero regrets that this sporting event is organized by the Motorcycle Federation of the Region of Murcia (collected even on its website for the registration process) in an infrastructure that has opened a procedure to close the activity.
Precisely, a young man died last December in this circuit, which lacks a license to carry out the activity.
The track adds two disciplinary proceedings opened by the City of Totana that are pending resolution: the first, for allegedly removing the seal that the Local Police put on March 21, 2016 after ordering the cessation of the activity, and the second, for perform earthworks without any permission.
In December 2010, the Consistory totanero agreed to the precautionary suspension of the motocross circuit activity, on behalf of the requesting businessman, for having enabled a race track of thousands of square meters without the corresponding municipal license.
The municipal decision was adopted momentarily while the Autonomous Community resolved the file that should determine whether or not to grant a single environmental authorization to the said facilities.
The Community denied the authorization in 2011 and the City of Totana in 2016 issued a resolution ordering the cessation of motocross circuit activity that takes place in this farm in El Paretón, since the activity has not been legalized, which therefore lacks of the licenses and authorizations required by legislation.
In addition, the resolution also agreed to order the track seal on March 21, 2016.
