The mayor and the Councilor for Tourism participate in the events organized at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) (23/01/2020)

The mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for Tourism, Verónica Carricondo, participated today in the events organized by the Autonomous Community at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) on the occasion of the Day of the Region of Murcia, in which Policy makers from different administrations and professionals in this area met.

The Region of Murcia arrives at Fitur 2019 as a destination of opportunities and of great attraction for investors, whose stand enhances the visual element, which allows the visitor and the final public to capture the most representative of the regional offer with a single look (Hall 7, stand 7B11).

In addition, large screens predominate that emphasize the diversity of products and tourist destinations, with experiences as main values;

so that the space of the Community of Murcia has the same area as previous years (488 meters), but as a novelty everything is grouped into a single plant.

The regional government plans to hold up to 300 meetings at the Tourism Fair, mostly with marketing channels;

and the new International Airport stars in the promotion of the tourist offer and provides the Region of Murcia with an infrastructure in accordance with the economic model and future plans of its area of ​​influence.

The stand will host presentations from 26 municipalities, tastings, tastings, culinary demonstrations and the possibility of enjoying virtual adventures through simulators, including the “Espusendas†ecotourism project presented yesterday by the Tourism Association of Sierra Espuña, to the one that belongs to Totana.

The professional area is located on the ground floor to ensure greater interaction between attendees, products and destinations.

To enhance profitability and commercial efficiency, although 300 meetings are planned, this year is focused on increasing marketing channels and online marketing companies taking advantage of the 21 major agreements led by the Ministry.

In addition, the Region exhibits its leadership as an intelligent tourist destination (DTI) through interactive screens where you can discover the new image of the website www.murciaturistica.es and access the Community's tourism intelligence tool, Motriz, and its Big Data catalog, with more than 40 information panels from which you can check in real time indicators of competitiveness of destinations or companies, preferences and needs of the visitor, as well as predictive models.

In parallel and to strengthen the promotion during this week and the effect called to the stand, the Ministry of Tourism has organized a large advertising display in the Madrid metro, so that the promotional images of the Region in large format dress the corridors of the two exits from the Campo de las Naciones metro station, which connects with Ifema.

Also, in the Ifema enclosure there are a series of vinyls located in the accesses to the fair's pavilions, specifically to numbers 3 and 5. In them, it shows as a showcase all the tourist products Costa Cálida-Region of Murcia .

The regional stand hosts the days dedicated to professionals (from Wednesday to Friday) presentations from Murcia municipalities, which will take their news and their main tourist proposals.

Yesterday the highlight was the International Airport of the Region of Murcia and its role as a gateway to the southeast of Spain and a key connection in the Mediterranean.

For this, a space has been set up in which live culinary demonstrations will be carried out by Murcian professionals such as the two Michelin Stars Pablo González.

In groups of eight people, you can attend the preparation and subsequent tasting of tapas and dishes with typical products such as salted fish, lamb, capers or peaches.

Wine, beer or Asian tastings will also be carried out by means of which you can know first hand the richness of regional cuisine.

During the weekend, the Murcia stand will host performances, themed monologues, music, parades in charge of the town halls, as well as more tastings, tastings and promotion of local products through a 'food truck' or gastronet.
