The City of Totana, following the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Culture and before the last alert issued by the AEMET, decides to suspend classes in the municipality of Totana during the day today Monday, January 20 in order to avoid unnecessary risks and for the sake of not jeopardizing the safety of the teaching, non-teaching and student staff of the educational centers of the municipality.
This decision, decreed through a Mayor's Office, is adopted in view of the worsening of the alert due to adverse weather events, heavy snowfall, winds and coastal phenomena.
In addition, in the next few hours we will continue to report through Civil Protection and the official municipal channels of those meteorological events that may give rise to risk situations caused by the temporary “Gloria”
Classes have also been suspended in other Murcia municipalities such as Yecla, Bullas, Jumilla, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín, districts of Lorca and Moratalla, among others.
