The vote against the Popular Municipal Group, prevents in the plenary of December another brutal tax increase proposed by the Mayor to the residents of Totana.

Two motions presented by the Mayor intended to raise taxes on totaneros, and were rejected by the plenary, with the votes against the Popular Party.

In addition to the already stipulated annual tax increase of 5% linear on what was raised in the previous year, the current Government Team intended to raise public rates and prices even further, in some cases reaching a 200% increase, such as the proposed increase in the minimum occupancy rate of the public highway, in addition to the creation of new rates and public prices that affect the most disadvantaged people, such as the disabled ford.

The Mayor showed his "political anger" before the result of the vote, not understanding once again that the proposals must be agreed and worked before reaching the full, since it is the Government Team with less support of democratic history of the City Council of Totana.

The position of the Popular Party has always been the same in reference to the tax increase, which has been reflected in the sense of voting for adjustment plans, since we believe that compliance with these plans does not only imply the rise of taxes, but savings measures must also be implemented to balance accounts;

spend LESS and DO NOT raise taxes on neighbors.

The idyllic management model that the Mayor wants to sell is dismantled with the "pull of ears" again and again from the Ministry of Finance, which recriminates the same as the PP does;

that the savings measures embodied in the adjustment plan have not been implemented since the approval of the adjustment plan of the coalition team and now in the one approved by this Government Team, while tax increases are being implemented.

One thing is the "idyllic political dream" in which the Mayor lives and another is his management reality that continuously affects the quality of life of the totaneros.

As Mr. Mayor has accustomed us, during the defense of the motion he is shielded by the municipal technicians, whom he blames for the proposal to climb, not assuming his political responsibility and becoming the victim as usual.
