More than 50 troops integrate the safety device of the pilgrimage back from La Santa to its sanctuary, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7 (06/01/2020)

More than fifty troops are part of the security and emergency device planned for the return pilgrimage of Santa Eulalia de Mérida, Patroness of Totana, in which thousands of people will participate this Tuesday, January 7.

The image of the patron saint of Totana will depart, at 9:00 am, from the church of Santiago Apóstol, where she has remained during the month of December, until her sanctuary.

The MU-502 road that connects the towns of Totana and Aledo will be cut off to traffic from 8:00 am, and will remain closed to the circulation of vehicle vehicles until approximately noon, the traffic being opened once the Santa Eulalia has arrived at the Sanctuary.

The security device and the planned emergency plan, and to ensure that the transfer of the image of La Santa develops normally, was agreed at the last local meeting of citizen security held last November.

In the same will participate a professional team of more than 50 troops formed by agents of the Local Police, Civil Guard of the Totana Post, Traffic Group and the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Civil Guard, Protection volunteers Civil, members of the Alhama-Totana fire station, and environmental agents.

The MU-502 road will be closed to traffic at the site of the Mission Cross and the Rulo roundabout (which communicates with the North Ring Road), in the first section of the aforementioned MU-502.

This will open to traffic once the image of Santa Eulalia arrives at its sanctuary and the agents responsible for traffic verify that the situation on this road allows it.

Therefore, vehicles wishing to access the Sanctuary must do so by the new road of La Santa, which will be enabled only as an access road.

So that the traffic closure on this road in addition to cash is safe, the intermediate accesses to the MU-502 road will be cut off to the traffic, so the collaboration of citizens is requested, so that traffic signs are respected height of the transfer, urbanization "La Charca" and other important access roads;

and only the new road of La Santa is used, through which the hermitage is accessed through the Sopanvino site.

Similarly, agents of the Civil Guard Traffic Association will also cut the Aledo-Totana road at the El Jumero site.

The areas authorized for public parking are those that usually exist in the sanctuary;

and when these are completed, others will be occupied in the Sopanvino area and next to the Aledo dump.

From the Local Police the collaboration of the neighbors is requested so that, at the time of parking their vehicles, they do so avoiding the inconvenience to the other users of the road (pedestrians and other vehicles), and trying not to hinder the exit of others parked vehicles
