The traditional Three Kings Cavalcade, which will take place this Sunday, January 5, is advanced one year this year, so that it will be held starting at 6:00 p.m., from the Plaza de la Constitucion.
This activity is part of the Christmas and Kings program and is organized by the Peñas del Carnaval Federation under a collaboration agreement with the City Council to help SSMM Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar during their visit to Totana these days.
The itinerary will be Plaza de la Constitución, Puente, San Antonio, Juan XXIII, Glorieta, Alberto Gray Peinado, Puente de los Frailes, Encomienda, General Aznar and return to the Plaza de la Constitución.
Likewise, the Three Kings' Cavalcade will be energized with seven groups of Christmas choreography and children's entertainment, with Christmas costumes, located between floats, which will cheer the public with music and Christmas carols;
Participating dolls of well-known animation characters of the Association of Rare Diseases D´Genes.
The Cavalcade will consist of a car with the star, four floats of the Peñas Federation, one for each king and one for the animation characters, duly decorated and illuminated in line with the event.
In each float the SSMM the Magi will be accompanied by the children selected in the raffle of the activity of the Royal Mailbox.
This year no sweets will be distributed from the floats, since it is planned to do so in the morning activity of children's entertainment on January 5, in the Plaza Balsa Vieja.
Reception letters
SSMM the Magi from the East will receive the letters of the children of Totana also tomorrow Saturday, January 4, in the municipal auditorium "Marcos Ortiz", from 4:30 p.m. and until there is presence of the most little ones.
The Reyes Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will visit Totana to collect the letters of all the children of this town, and will have the help of pages and collaborators of the Federation of Peñas del Carnaval.
In addition, on Sunday, January 5, from 12:00 to 14:00 hours, the activity "Waiting for the Magi. Music, illusion and animation" will take place, which will take place in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, where SSMM los Three Wise Men will deliver about 4,000 bags of sweets and gifts to the attendees.
The Local Government Board approved a month ago to sign a collaboration agreement between the City Council and the Totana Carnival Federation for the organization of the Cavalcade and the delivery of letters to the Magi from 2020 for a total amount of 14,000 euros .
Specifically, 10,000 euros are contributed from the 2019 municipal budget and another 4,000 euros to the 2020 extended budget.
In this way, the Consistory collaborates with the financial contribution of 14,000 euros to finance the expenses derived from the Cavalcade and delivery of letters that will be made this January 4 in the municipal auditorium "Marcos Ortiz", collaborating with the decoration of the stage , providing monitors and acquiring goodies and gifts to children.
It also collaborates with the aforementioned activity "Waiting for the Magi. Music, Illusion and Animation" held on January 5 in the morning in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, with the participation of animation characters and royal pages for the distribution of sweets and candies that will be provided by the Federation of Carnival Peñas.
Auto Sacramental Reyes Magos Paretón
Likewise, the hamlet of El Paretón-Cantareros will celebrate the traditional Auto Sacramental de los Reyes Magos next Monday, January 6, which will start at 9:30 am with a chocolate breakfast by the Association of Masters and Housewives of Casa Igual -Day of this deputation;
