Over the past week, the students of the Choir and the Music Band of the IES Juan de la Cierva and Codorníu, directed by Professor Jesús Martínez Cánovas, have held several Concerts around the town to bring music to the most Small: on Tuesday, December 17 at the CEIP Tierno Galván and on Friday 20 at the CEIP La Cruz and in the IES Juan de la Cierva, as the professor informed Totana.com.
The concert is part of the Erasmus + Project activities that the center has been developing since last year with the intention of promoting interest in musical interpretation, both vocal and instrumental, among the youngest, as well as cooperative work in groups and values that involve participating in a Choir and / or a Band.
The repertoire was formed by different songs with Christmas as a general theme, with one and two voices, accompanied by a piano and an instrumental group of wind and percussion.
The interpreted pieces were:
Sing a song for the peace
Made with your dreams
The Lord bless you and keep you
To my dear Magi
The prince of Egypt (If you have faith)
Carol Potpourri
The students of both centers enjoyed a musical evening in which they shared very good moments singing together and in which they were able to see many of their old schoolmates again, since the vast majority of members of this choir are newly incorporated students. center, which last year were in these two centers and now studying 1st ESO at the institute.
From here our most sincere thanks to CEIP Tierno Galván and CEIP La Cruz with their music teachers, for their delivery and willingness to carry out this activity.
