The Local Government Board has recently agreed on the proposal of the Councilor for Culture, Verónica Carricondo, to grant an economic collaboration, which amounts to 10,000 euros, to the Illustrious Superior Council of Processions of Totana in order to cover part of the expenses incurred in carrying out activities carried out within the Holy Week program of the year 2019.
Last year the Consistory totanero granted an economic aid of 8,000 euros, depending on the existing economic possibilities.
This comes to respond to the written request submitted by the Illustrious Superior Cabildo de Processiones to collaborate, in part, with the expenses derived from the program in this municipality during the year that now ends.
The proposal contains a detailed report of all the processions and cultural events developed during this year, as well as an economic summary of the expenses incurred.
The Department of Culture values positively the granting of said aid, as is being done annually, before the request made considering the evident cultural interest of the event, and taking into account that the Holy Week of Totana is declared as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest, being treated In addition to one of the most participatory events in the municipality.
