"On November 25, at the Headquarters of the Regional Archives, an Act of delivery of documents owned by the City Council of Totana was held that decades ago (in the dictatorship of Franco), were pillaged from our Municipal Archive.
It is a part of the stolen, but of great importance and incalculable value to understand our history and heritage.
Remember at this point that already in 2015, our beloved citizen and Favorite Son of Totana, Ginés Rosa López who helped us recover another part of valuable historical documents.
My deep gratitude to the Government Delegation in Murcia, to the Director General of Cultural Property and, in a special way, to the Civil Guard that has made possible the recovery of this valuable heritage that is now in our Archive and that in the near future We will expose the public, after the study of historians, like Juan Cánovas Mulero.
These are the documents seized by the Civil Guard and handed over to this Mayor, on behalf of the people of Totana, after the “Index†and “Tabelión†operations.
1.- 1529, August 18.
Pomegranate.
Execution petition of the Villa de Aledo against the city of Lorca on the Community of Terms.
2.- 1609, September 15.
Madrid.
Deed of Sale and new situation of the Census when removing the assets of own and income of the council of Aledo and Totana and on the assets and income of private neighbors, to pay what said Council owes to His Majesty for the real faculty granted to it so that the Governor of the Villanueva de los Infantes party does not visit or take account of the Council more than once during his office.

4.1.- 1576, October 1.

Real Provision of Felipe II so that the residents of Aledo are granted license to hunt with firearms.
4.2.- 1615, May, 16. Madrid-1615, June, 2. Aledo
Real Provision of Felipe III so that no town hall is held in the Villa de Aledo and Totana if it is not in the houses of the town hall itself.
5.- Fragment of document.
Lower fragment of a real original provision addressed to the Villa of Aledo whereby it is granted the power to buy bread during the year 1536 for the provision of the villa.
6.- Several modern Proveiminetos on the villages of Aledo and Totana.

6.1.- 1564, October.
Madrid.
Royal Provision of Philip II, in his name of the Order Council, so that Aledo's neighbors will be able to put money or bread at will for the villa's deposit without the impediment of the justices, and that they let it be administered to the Council officers.
It is done at the request of the Council, Justice, councilors and neighbors of the Vila de Aledo.
6.2.- 1568, July, 24. Madrid.
Real Provision of Felipe II issued in his name by the lords of the Council of Orders so that the Villa de Aledo and its suburb Totana keep the order on the conservation and increase of the bread deposit here exposed and that consists of 23 points.
6.3.- 1719 [Date of sealed paper]
Real Provision of Felipe V spice in his name by the Chancilleria of Granada of Granada ordering that the councils, justices and rulers of the cities of Murcia and Orihuela, as well as the Cabildo ecclesiastic of Murcia, do not collect the snow from the wells of Sierra Espuña sitos in the municipality of Totana.
It is issued at the request of Simón Martínez Talón, lawyer of the royal councils, perpetual councilor and attorney general of the council of the Villa de Totana.
6.4.- 1597, August, 23. Totana.
Royal Provision of Philip II issued on his behalf by the lords of the Council on the use of weights and measures for private uses in Aledo and Totana.
It is issued at the request of Juan Fernández on behalf of the Council, justices and regiment of Aledo and Totana and of the private neighbors.
6.5.-1815, May, 27. Totana
Relationship No. 1 formed by Gonzalo de Cánovas Cánovas, butler and treasurer of the Own funds of the town of Totana, of all the supplies that in several articles he made with the funds of said Own to the royal troops in the year 1812.
6.6-1791, February, 16. Totana and Aledo
Required mandatory office of Manuel Antonio Ruiz de Castañeda, lawyer of the Royal Councils, senior justice and war captain of the town of Totana and Aledo, so that the mayors of Aledo exercise the jurisdiction granted only within this population.
6.7.-1789, January, 21. Madrid
Royal provision of Carlos III issued in his name by the lords of the Council of Orders so that the council, justice and regiment of the towns of Aledo and Totana execute what is commanded here.

It carries the signatures and rubrics of the assistants, as well as the validation of the notaries Juan Diego Ruiz and Juan Arbizu Navarro.
6.9.- Minutes of its compliance by the members of the town hall of the town of Aledo (February 5, 1789).
It carries the signatures and rubrics of the attendees, as well as the validation of the notary Juan Arbizu Navarro.
6.10.- Testimony of the notary Juan Arbizu Navarro of having delivered a copy of the royal provision to the mayors and placement in his file as required and mandated (February 5, 1789).
That said delivery is made as definitive, for its deposit in the funds of its Municipal Archives, once its public ownership has been established, according to the expert reports of the General Archive of the Region of Murcia (Murcia), collected all this in Law 16/85, of June 25, on Spanish Historical Heritage Law 6/1990, of April 11, on Archives and Documentary Heritage of the Region of Murcia. "
